Silvia Di Meo is a Social Sciences PhD student dedicated to Migration and Intercultural Processes at the University of Genoa. She graduated in ethno-anthropological disciplines with an experimental thesis on photographic and biographical portraits of migrants at Frontera sur.
Using a visual and audio-visual anthropology approach, she explores the ethnography of borders, mobility and transnational mobilizations in the Mediterranean area. Within the ethnographic frame of research, she uses photography to investigate migratory processes, life and travel stories.
